The fund operates in a reimbursement capacity only; it is the responsibility of the employer or insurer to make payments in accordance with Georgia Workers' Compensation Laws.
The fund reimburses indemnity benefits, medical and rehabilitation expenses in accordance with SITF Rules and Regulations. Requests for reimbursement are audited on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The fund does not make payments to the injured worker.
